Privacy Policy & Terms of Use — HomePoker Cashier

Last updated: September 22, 2026

This page contains both the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use for the HomePoker Cashier Android application (the "App"). Please read both sections before using the App.

Privacy Policy

1. Data stored only on your device

HomePoker Cashier is a HomePoker Cashier for home games. All gameplay information — created games, player names, buy-ins, chip counts, session history and settlement calculations — is stored exclusively on your device, in a local database (Room / SQLite).

2. Sharing a game between devices

The App lets you transfer a game you created to another device running the App, for players who want to continue tracking the same session from a different phone. This works in two ways, both of which you must actively start:

In every case above, the recipient is chosen by you, not by the App, and the data travels through the app or service you selected — it does not pass through any server we operate.

3. Cloud backup (Android Auto Backup)

If Android's standard Auto Backup is enabled on your device, the operating system may back up the App's local data — including your games database and purchase status — to your associated Google account (Google Drive), and restore it when you set up the App on a new device. This is a feature of Android itself, governed by your device and Google account settings, not something we collect or have access to. You can disable this for the App at any time in your device's Android system settings.

4. Advertising: Google AdMob

The App displays ads using Google AdMob (banner and interstitial ads). This is the only third-party SDK in the App that collects data. We do not collect this data directly — it is collected and processed by Google as an independent data controller, under Google's own privacy policy.

For ad delivery and targeting, AdMob and its supporting Google services may process:

For details on what data Google collects and how it is used, see Google's official privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. More information about how Google's advertising products work is also available at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

5. Consent (UMP)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) — a consent mechanism shown before ads are served, compliant with GDPR and the IAB TCF standard.

6. In-app purchase: Remove Ads

The App offers a single one-time purchase, "Remove Ads", processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We do not receive, process, or store your payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.) — these are handled directly by Google Play. A flag recording whether you purchased "Remove Ads" is stored locally on your device (and may be included in Android Auto Backup as described in Section 3); the authoritative record of your purchase is kept by Google Play, not by us.

7. Notifications

The App can show local reminders (e.g., "Bomb pot!" timers) during a game. These notifications are generated and scheduled entirely on your device using Android's built-in alarm system — no server or push notification service is involved, and no data leaves your device to make this work.

8. Analytics, crash reporting, other SDKs

The App does not use any analytics, crash reporting, or advertising-network SDK other than Google AdMob, UMP, and Google Play Billing described above (no Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Facebook SDK, or similar). We do not track your usage of the App beyond what these Google SDKs may independently collect as described in Sections 4–6.

9. Age restriction

The App is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Although the App does not facilitate real-money gambling, betting, or payments of any kind (see Terms of Use, Section 3), it is themed around poker and home-game cash tracking, and by using the App you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the App and provided data through it, please contact us at the address below.

10. Your control over your data

Since all gameplay data is stored locally, you are in full control of it: you can delete it at any time by clearing the App's data in Android system settings, or by uninstalling the App — either action permanently removes all locally stored data from your device (this does not affect a Google Auto Backup copy already made; see Section 3 for how to manage that).

11. International users

The App is published globally and may be used by residents of any country, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and the United States (including California). Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are covered by the consent mechanism described in Section 5. We do not sell personal information, and we do not have visibility into or control over data processed independently by Google's advertising and billing services described above.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if the SDKs used by the App change, or as required by law. The current version is always available at this URL, with the "last updated" date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or using HomePoker Cashier (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and to Google Play's own terms of service.

3. What the App is — and is not

The App is a calculator and record-keeping tool for informal home poker games. It helps you track buy-ins, chip counts, and player balances, and computes who owes whom at the end of a session, based entirely on numbers you enter yourself.

4. Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

5. Your content

Any names, amounts, or other information you enter into the App remain your own data, stored on your device as described in the Privacy Policy above. You are responsible for what you enter, including making sure you have the right to record other players' names in the App and to share that information with them via the transfer features described in Privacy Policy Section 2.

6. Purchases

The optional "Remove Ads" purchase is a one-time, non-subscription purchase processed by Google Play. Refunds, if any, are handled according to Google Play's own refund policies, not by us directly.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, THAT CALCULATIONS WILL BE FREE OF BUGS, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST (FOR EXAMPLE, DUE TO UNINSTALLING THE APP, CLEARING APP DATA, OR A DEVICE FAILURE).

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, MONEY, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP — INCLUDING ANY DISPUTE BETWEEN PLAYERS OVER AMOUNTS OWED THAT WERE CALCULATED USING THE APP.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time, including by removing it from Google Play.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL, with the "last updated" date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your own country of residence.
